There is a relatively new class of off-highway vehicles known as Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles (ROVs). ROVs are also known as side-by-sides and are not ATVs. ROVs are motorized vehicles that have four or more low pressure tires designed for off-highway terrain and are intended by the manufacturer primarily for recreational use by one or more persons. Unlike ATVs, ROVs have a steering wheel, bench or bucket seats, seatbelts, foot controls, a roll cage and can reach speeds greater than 30 mph. |
